Meet the founder

Isabella Mandis is a Harvard undergraduate and the founder and CEO of Girls Into VC, the first global organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of female venture capitalists. She has built a community of over 8,000 members spanning 60 countries and six continents.

With a passion for entrepreneurship from a young age, Isabella has interned at over 10 startups, gaining hands-on experience in scaling businesses and driving innovation. She also conducted academic research that resulted in the development of an algorithm to reduce racial and gender bias in machine learning, published in a peer-reviewed journal.

In addition, Isabella is a Kleiner Perkins Fellow, an NEA Fellow, and a Roberts Family Fellow at Harvard Business School. She was also listed as the youngest member on Forbes 30 Under 30 Boston.

Meet the CEO

Hi, I’m Sarah Phillips, CEO of Girls Into VC and a junior at Princeton University.

My Girls Into VC journey began in 2023 as founder of the Princeton chapter, inspired by Isabella Mandis’s story (Founder of GIVC) and determined to help more women access venture capital early in our careers. What started for me as a women’s business empowerment effort for Princeton students then led me to serve as COO and now CEO of this multifaceted, international organization.

Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to work across the venture and startup industries at AEI | HorizonX, Instacart, and Teva Pharmaceuticals, and I’m excited to be incoming at Insight Partners. What drives me is our mission: to support the next generation of female founders and investors with game-changing access, mentorship, and community.

At Girls Into VC, we understand that people are our greatest asset. Leading by example and inclusivity, we’re broadening and deepening the venture human capital ecosystem—together.

Your engagement and contributions matter, and Girls Into VC is grateful for your partnership.

All the best,

Sarah
